In our neighborhood is a kid I don't like. Same age as one of my kids and my wife said I need to get used to the kid being around. She said that their is a chance that one of our children will date this brat.
She mentioned that I might want to think about how to teach this kid to be less annoying. Hmmm, if the kid is less annoying then I won't mind if one of my kids is dating them. Even if there isn't any dating then maybe the kid could be an accidental spy for me and let me know if my children are doing something they shouldn't.
My background is all about retraining people that I don't think were raised properly, can I adjust it to this kid?
