Staycation.

We're on a mini-vacation tonight.  Technically speaking my wife is on a mini-vacation and she took us with her.  A family friend just got back from Afghanistan and he went to Great Wolf Lodge to celebrate being back and not dead, so he invited his friends to hang out with him at the water park/hotel.

Anything dealing with the service industry I look at a little differently from normal people, I did this for almost 30 years so I look with experienced eyes.  Experienced but a little out of date.  They don't put menus in the rooms for the various cafes and restaurants.  They also don't have room service.  Your key is a wristband not a card.  Great because it's one less thing to lose but bad because if your kid loses theirs then it's $40 charge to get a replacement.

I'm not sure but I think that the kids are so tired they are too wound up to go to sleep.  Check the place out, my family likes it.
